StencilGirl and Lost Coast Design Blog Hop

Welcome to the StencilGirl Products and Lost Coast Designs Blog Hop!
If you are coming here from Lindsay's blog you are on the right track and you have made it to the end of the hop! If you are just visiting, please join us on this Blog Hop.
The hop list is at the end of the post.

Well, I have to say, this was FUN, back to my roots kind of project for me!
I knew immediately what I wanted to made after I stamped the doll face stamp from Lost Coast Designs.

I made an easel (tons of tutorials on Google) card using a card base that I made on my Cricut.

I wanted some texture on the card base.
I wasn't worried at all about getting a perfect stencil image.

I also used the Stitch a Doily Stencil on the easel front part of the card, again not worrying about a perfect stencil image.

Extra's I added: Hand journaling with a white Signo Uniball pen and machine stitching around the card.

I think this is the perfect combination of Papercrafting meets Mixed Media!

Here are a few other views of the card:

  75. Really love the colors you chose. As I read through the steps, I thought of another way that I could use this project. Instead of stamping the doll face, how about replacing it with a small photograph? Would be a great gift for a grandparent. Using a child's school picture, and writing a message with the date the photo was taken would make it a keepsake (not that it isn't already).

Thanks for the inspiration. Here I come Cricut machine!
