I was recently contacted by Tombow and asked if I would use some of their products and do a post for their 100 Days of Tombow Program.
Already loving Tombow products, of course, my answer was YES! not to mention that
they are committing to provide up to $10,000 of Tombow art products to the Council for Art Education, a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting and supporting art education and quality art programs.
These are the products they sent me to play with--thank you Tombow!
Irojiten Color Dictionary Pencils
I decided to do a Mixed Media Art Journal Page using the products. First came the background. Using some clear polymer stamps from Kari McKnight Holbrook, I used the Tombow markers to "stamp" with onto book paper. I did four sections and ripped them apart.I used Mat Medium to "glue" them into my art journal for the background. I then used the Irojiten Colored Pencils to color in the circles.
Here is the end result.
To make the border around the page I got a little creative with the adhesive tape runner. I ran stripes of adhesive down another piece of book paper and then colored right over the sticky part.
I turned the paper over and saw this:
Instant border because the other side was sticky! I tore it into strips and make my border. Very cool texture!
A Great Big Thank YOU to Tombow for letting me play with some of their products!
