A Gelli Plate Mess....

Totally inspired by a certain friend of mine, I decided to run to my space and make something with the techniques she used. Well pink in my hair....my glasses....my shirt...my floor and a BIG mess later I decided to just go with the mess theme.

I wanted to use the Tulip fabric paint that Carolyn used on my Gelli Plate . Well...my pink was OLD, yes really old. I was lazy and didn't want to take the time to unclog it the right way...so I squeezed really hard. You can imagine the rest. I just kept making prints but I guess it was just an off night...so I went off on my own and came up with these...

All from different pulls from the same face I drew on the Gelli Plate
Yuck, I didn't like any of them...what if...JUST DO IT!

I cut them apart?????

and then I had a two page spread in my journal. I was happier. I made another face for fun.
This time she went into my daily art journal to start the next week.

  2. hmmmm....define OLD. Fabric painting was one of my first craft endeavors so I have lots of those Tulip paints. Time to play.

  6. Well, I think these are great! Cutting them up was brilliant, so good thing you didn't like them or you'd never have gotten this far.
