A Gelli Plate Mess....

Totally inspired by a certain friend of mine, I decided to run to my space and make something with the techniques she used. Well pink in my floor and a BIG mess later I decided to just go with the mess theme.

I wanted to use the Tulip fabric paint that Carolyn used on my Gelli Plate . pink was OLD, yes really old. I was lazy and didn't want to take the time to unclog it the right I squeezed really hard. You can imagine the rest. I just kept making prints but I guess it was just an off I went off on my own and came up with these...

All from different pulls from the same face I drew on the Gelli Plate
Yuck, I didn't like any of them...what if...JUST DO IT!

I cut them apart?????

and then I had a two page spread in my journal. I was happier. I made another face for fun.
This time she went into my daily art journal to start the next week.

  1. Hi, all the time i used to check weblog posts here
early in the dawn, since i love to learn more and more.

Feel free to visit my site: password crack

  2. hmmmm....define OLD. Fabric painting was one of my first craft endeavors so I have lots of those Tulip paints. Time to play.

  3. LOL, loved the visual of pink paint everywhere! But the mess was so worth it- your page looks great!

  4. Love all these combos of all your gelli plate prints. I never thought to cut them apart and put them back together, duh, works so well and really pops Maria. xox

  5. love the abandon here -- great effect with the mixing and matching. I don't know which one I like best.... very inspiring! xo

  6. Well, I think these are great! Cutting them up was brilliant, so good thing you didn't like them or you'd never have gotten this far.

  7. I totally have to - must do- this! How cool how your "mess" turned out! I can hear the party music playing!

  8. No mess..just art love. As Carolyn says "it's just an oops". Came out wonderful.. love the YOU face and hair... pink or not.

  9. I love it that you decided to make a mess. It came out great. I like the pink in the hair.

  10. I like them ALL even before you cut them apart... they look great as you changed them too, thanks for sharing! Isn't it addictive? :oD
