Artsy Fartsy....

Carolyn and I have another edition of Artsy Fartsy today. I love doing these challenges with Carolyn. So many things happen in my mind when we have to use certain products.

Today's choices were:

Letters
Sewing

PanPastels......why do we sometimes forget to use things we LOVE???!!! It has been way too long and I have neglected them. I just love using them to make backgrounds with plain old white cardstock.
First I erased away some of the PanPastel using a remnant of some diecuts I made. Yes, it took awhile...but so worth it and if you are wondering YES I used it as my workout for the day--my arm was killing me after :)
Next I used VersaMark while the stencil was still in place and stamped over the stencil.
Then while stencil was still in place I used a different color PanPastel over the VersaMark.

I think my favorite thing that happened during this is that the STENCIL turned into a project of itself which I will be definitely finishing up soon.
I added some stitching around the star and a border and rubbed over it with some PanPastel to make it pop out.

Now I'm going to see what Carolyn made.
I hope you do too!!
While you are there make sure and sign up for Carolyn's newsletter. She has some very exciting things in the works and you don't want to miss a thing!!!

  2. Stunning! I thought your background was fabulous just itch pan pastels then when you rubbed off the stars- I started to think about all the die cut remnants I have. Then the text in there- pure eye candy!

  3. Then your quote just hit home in such a powerful way for me! I love seeing what you create and since I already have pan pastels out on my counter they will be the first thing I play with when I get home. And an eraser too!
