Have you played along in the Fall Fearless and Fly challenge yet???
Here is my submission for the Third Challenge.
These are the prompts for this time:
Headline Prompt: Triumphs and Defeats: What do you see as your greatest triumphs or defeats? What have they taught you? Which have you learned more from?
Color Prompt: Black and white
Quote Prompt: Not in the clamor of the crowded street, not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves, are triumph and defeat. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Color Prompt: Black and white

I started with a cheap piece of white cardstock and with a dry brush just made some random flower shapes.
Then I mixed some white Gesso and black paint together to make some grey and filled in the background areas.
Then while I sat on the couch last night I used my white gel pen and doodled away! Love these kind of fun projects.
Come and play along with us!
I'll be Guest Designing for the next Fall Fearless and Fly on November 12th!

Maria, you are a girl after my own heart! I love doodling. thanks for showing how you got from A to Z. This is fantastic. You've met the prompts beautifully and had fun doing it. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of doodling. I'd never have considered that. Such a simple and effective solution when your colours are limited. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful to see how a simple 3 step process -- paint, more paint, and doodling, could result in something so beautiful. The dry brushing gave so much depth and your doodling is doodle-isciou! Thanks for joining FF&F!
ReplyDeletethe should be DOODLE-ISCIOUS!"
ReplyDeleteI just love all the doodles! Its cool to see flowers painted in nontraditional flower colors. and might I say you have a beautiful name ;)

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I like your idea of filling in background with grey which really make the black-and-white doodles stand out so beautifully!
