Life......

Life....it gets crazy sometimes, doesn't it?????
Lately I have totally not been in the crafting mode and more of the trying to get my act together mode and just enjoying my children who are growing up so so fast right in front of my eyes.

I never posted, but I have retired from the Bitten By The Bug 2 Design Team. I want to thank Heather and the team for a wonderful creative year! I will miss everyone!

Last night I went with Alexx, her friend Tina and Tina's mom to a Never Shout Never concert. What the heck were we thinking???!!! We got the girls special VIP tickets with sound check entrance back in August (it sounded like a good idea then). WOW! What an experience for them, but for me it just made me realize just how old I am getting, LOL!

That is Alexx in Tina in the front row the whole concert. Three (yes 3!!!) warm-up bands and then the show. We had to be there at 3:00pm and it didn't get over until 11:00pm. I just kept telling myself the whole time I am a good mom, I am a good mom! There were some really weird people there :) And what you can't see is that there is no seats on the main floor so all the kids were pushing back and forth and they kept pulling people straight up in the air out of the crowd that got hurt or fainted. Not a good mom moment to watch.....but we made it through and the girls had a great time.

Last weekend Alexx and Caroline had a full out pumpkin carving event in my sunroom. They had a blast and here they are showing off their creations. The next day, Halloween, they dressed up as Mario and Luigi--pictures to come at a later date :)

Casey, although not photographed much, has been having his share of exciting High School fun. I need to find a way to sneak some pictures of that :)
Yes, as you can see life goes by so fast.....
At the end of this week I am leaving for a trip to Connecticut with Alexx and my mom to see my sister. Can't wait! More memories to be made.....
Have a great week!

  1. Give yourself a pat on the back, Maria. What a nice girls day out thing to do with your daughter! Those opportunities are probably rare so you need to do it when you can! My daughter is 23 and she mostly goes to concerts with her friends now. I would consider it sometime if the situation arose, but not for 8 hours!!! OMG, you were one terrific mom for hanging in there that long! Thanks for sharing your story and pictures! Your daughters are both beautiful!--Pat N.

  3. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! Hope you have a fabulous day planned. You sure are Super Mom, but it's your turn today! I'm glad you're enjoying your time off and spending it with your kids. As you know, I'm not exactly full steam on the crafting front either. Missing you, though. Have a wonderful trip. xxD
