but....for a good reason! I just got back from eight days here....
As I have written on my Blog before, we are quite the Disney fans in our family. Our kids have gone over 30 times in their short lives. It is largely due to the fact that they have wonderful parents, LOL!, a dad that works very hard for them to have "the good life" and that we became Disney Vacation Club members over 10 years ago.
This trip was a little different for us. For the first time we had the kids each bring a friend. We figured they were finally old enough to experience Disney with a little freedom and allowed them to venture out on their own. Pictured above from left to right: Tina (Alexandria's friend), Alexandria (my daughter), Adam (Casey's friend) and Casey (my son).
We were lucky enough to once again stay in a 3-bedroom Grand Villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We had just stayed here this past July, but it was a short trip (3 days) and I had many things going on in my life and although amazing, it didn't quite let it sink in that this was our view from our balcony(s).
Totally AWESOME and AMAZING. I swear I spent a good part of each day just sitting there looking at these animals. WOW, what an experience!
Of course, Jim and I made the kids do all sort of "fun" things....well at least we thought it was fun, like eating in the castle for dinner and meeting Cinderella. Jim and I had to get our laughs somewhere :)
Casey and Adam took a Segway Tour all around Epcot. Although Casey has been on Segway Tours in St. Marteen and San Juan before Disney does not allow it until you are 16--and this time he was! He was a happy boy :) He was, however a little disappointed as you can see in the picture above that "Disney" rules were enforced and safety rules such as speed and keeping your hand firmly gripped were a must--not something he was used to in the islands where they encouraged us to go as fast as we could and put our hands in the air while riding.
And these girls.....well they were ready to get their picture taken at any turn....I'm sure you will be seeing quite a bit of them on my Blog in future projects.
So...that's where I've been. I haven't paper crafted in over 2 weeks.
I did, however, teach myself to knit while on vacation. I have been crocheting since I was in second grade but never learned to knit so I finally taught myself.
Hopefully I will get my act together soon and make something with a few new cartridges that arrived while I was gone.
First, there are laundry matters to attend to :)
