It is that time of month again...when all the the Designers for My Pink Stamper post together showcasing My Pink Stamper stamps. Our assignment this month was to do a layout and use any My Pink Stamper set we wanted. I loved this challenge because YES, I AM A SCRAPBOOKER! Thought I'd just tell myself that again, LOL! But...most of my Design Team partners are cardmakers so this made for quite the challenge :) I love how they all dug in and made some fabulous designs. Please go check them out HERE. For some of them it was the very first layout they have EVER made and I think they did great!!
For my project....I must admit here that I really dragged my feet on this one and didn't even start doing it until Saturday afternoon (the time when I told everyone else it was due to me by). Thanks to two things I finished it in one hour. My daughter and her all her beautiful friends for gave me some inspiration for this. I took these pictures on Friday night while they were just hanging out in my kitchen. Love that they are at a age that they want to be photographed all the time. That is as long as I send them copies for Facebook, LOL! I also want to thank Echo Park for making this awesome paper--For The Record. I wanted to get my hands on it as soon as I saw it announced--LOVE it!
I used My Pink Stamper stamps along the entire edge of the photo collage. I used a pencil to draw around the edge of my photo where I wanted it, removed it and stamped along the edge. EASY!
I cut a journaling box to stamp a sentiment on the Cricut to mimic the postage stamp on the patterned paper. After I was done, I thought it would be fun to add a splash of that yellow to the corner of the picture. I cut another "stamp" and used a piece of scrap paper to cut the right angle to hand cut a corner.
I hand cut the strip down the side of the layout from a piece of the paper, hand cut some of the flowers for the paper for other sentiments from My Pink Stamper and used a label maker to make the girls names.
Although I wish I could say I planned it, I did not. The numbers down the side of the paper fit in perfectly! 5 girls to highlight. I used a arrow from Graphically Speaking (one of my all time favorite cartridges). The BFFS cut is from Kate's ABC's.
Cricut Cartridges Used
Kate's ABC's = BFFS @ 3.94"
Graphically Speaking = Arrow @ 1.5" and Ring around 5 @ 1"
Stamp Line Used
My Pink Stamper Everyday Sentiments = LIFE is too short...LAUGH when you can!
My Pink Stamper Pink-a-licious = Live.Laugh.Love, Girl's Night Out and Besties Always!
Now go on over to My Pink Stamper and see some of the fabulous ways they used the stamps to make a layout.
I think there is some great inspiration to show you that these stamps are not just for cardmakers, us SCRAPBOOKER's love them too :)
