Today is Bitten By The Bug 2 Design Team Day.
Did I ever tell you how much I enjoy creating with this group of fabulously talented designers? I missed doing my project last week because of my Guest Spot with Everyday Cricut and felt SO SO bad....but I'm back now :)
This week's challenge was chosen by Penny. She wanted us to use the Chick from the Easter 2010 cartridge. If you don't have that cartridge, you can use any chick or duck on any cartridge. Make sure you go back to Bitten By The Bug 2 after your done reading and play along with us! I had never used this chick and was excited to give it a try.
I should have stopped right there, LOL!
I think my brain is tired. This card a the result of a bunch of mix-ups on my behalf. I don't have many pictures of the "process" because I kept changing my mind. I decided in the end to use my Cricut to give me a look of my own Spellbinders. I chose the scalloped circle also on the Easter 2010 cartridge and cut it in different sizes.
I used my Crop-a-dile to add the holes in the frames.
I wanted a little color to the smallest circle so I used George and put a circle in the size I wanted on my mat on my Gypsy. I then made one a little smaller and put it inside that one. This gave me a "little" ring of color to add.
Other than that there are too many things I did to list. A few: Glossy Accents to the title (which you can't see too good in the pictures), Stickles to the eggs, embossed the background circle. The card base I totally did in my "own" size. It started out at 6" x 6". I kept cutting parts off. Then I cut away parts so only the circle showed. In the end it fits into a 5" x 7" envelope. Please don't ask for directions because I don't think I could recreate it if I tried, LOL! At least it "looks" like your typical Tent Card in the end and that is all that matters. You probably don't even notice, but I added a little grass in the basket. Where did I get it? I told my son to go down to our storage room and get me a piece of grass from one of our Easter baskets. And...up he walked with ONE piece. I guess that is all I needed, LOL!
