Bitten By The Bug 2--JOTS Wreath

This week it was Julia's pick our challenge for Bitten By The Bug 2. She chose the Wreath cut from Joy's Of The Season Cricut Cartridge. You can see all the fabulous Design Team projects by going HERE.
I decided to make a card in the shape of the wreath. I welded two circles together in my Gypsy and cut another circle out of the circle that would be the front of my card. This would be the base of the card. I used an edge distressing tool and distressed the edges of the front of my card.
I cut the layer for the wreath, which is a couple of the leaf sets. I ran them through the Forest Branches Cuttlebug folder along with the actual wreath.
I then sanded and inked them.
One of the layer's on the wreath is this one above. After I cut it I decided it sort of just melded into the wreath so I used a paint dabber in gold and did just that--dabbed it. I also added the berries that are one of the layers. I added Stickles in X-mas Red to the berries.
For the inside of the card, I cut a circle a little bit bigger than the circle opening on the front of my card. I distressed the edges of the circle and stamped and embossed the Santa.
Tomorrow I will be back with another project with the Chomas Creation's Engraving Tip!
See you then.....

  1. Great idea using the circles to create your base card - I especially like the cut out center. All of those layers are so nice. And that bow is amazing!!! Good job, girlie!

  7. What a pretty card Maria, love the distressing! And I love the embossing folder you used, I would of never thought to use that one, makes it look kind of like fabric. That's what I love about being on this design Team, such inspiration! Love the bow too!
