November is Birthday month in our family. Lots of birthdays!!! This one is for my Father-in-Law who's Birthday is at the end of this week. SUPER simple card--he's a guy, he doesn't really care right?? I used Chomas Creations Gel Pens and Embossing Tip. As you know, I am quite fond of these products and could play with them all day.
This card literally took me 30 minutes to make!
Here is a close-up of the Embossing Tip in action. The tin is colored side down. After it was finished I sanded the black side to bring out the detail.
Here is a close-up of the Gel Pen. I had already used my Gypsy to cut the card base with a circle I welded in the front. Instead of unloading my mat, I returned to design, changed to the Gel Pen Holder and let it draw Happy Birthday. After it was drawn, I just added some dots with a pen and called it done. Unfortunately, sometimes pictures don't show all the detail, but in person there is quite a contrast in the Happy Birthday from the card base. I also used the Gel Pen Holder to draw some of the motorcycles on the envelope.
The only other product I used on this page was a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder to add texture behind the motorcycle. Oh....and speaking of motorcycle you might ask, WHY for my Father-in-Law?? Well he just announced recently to all of us that at 75 he is going to buy a Trike (three-wheeled motorcycle). Has he ever drove motorcycle before??? NO. But since my Mother-in-Law passed away earlier this year it is the first time I saw any excitement in his face--So...I say GO FOR IT!!
