More Than I Can Imagine!

Last week on Everyday Cricut was more than I could ever Imagine! Here is the card that I put at the end of the post thanking Joy, Melanie and everyone for their incredible welcome and comments all week! This is my third project I did with the Imagine and it literally took me 45 minutes start to finish! I don't think that is too bad with a new machine I knew nothing about. I guess due to my extensive knowledge of the Expression and Gypsy it came a little easier than for most, LOL!
I broke the layers of the image apart and also put the image in again and deleted everything but the one flower (the last one on the mat) to get an extra. One of my original fears with the Imagine was it would look flat printed out, but clearly, as you can see here that is not so which is VERY exciting to me. I used the Imagine More Cards Cartridge for this step.
I then put in the Wild Card Cartridge in the left hand side of the machine while the Imagine More Cards was still in place. I added a print to the card base and a solid to a layer of the card. I have to say, this is the most exciting part of this machine for me!
For the envelope--I put in a square from Plantin, used Fit to Page and filled with the same pattern I used for the card base. I cut it by hand. I keep a set of old envelopes in a variety of sizes to use for this. Comes in handy when you want to make your card as big as you can and the envelope won't fit on a 12 x 12 paper with the Cricut or Imagine. I also used my Copics to ink the edges of the images. That was another concern of mine for the Imagine having white or edges showing around printed area, but I think by doing this with markers or changing the settings on the Imagine, not a worry to me anymore.
Clearly--not flat :-)
A couple of answers to some questions I got over and over last week not related to my projects on the site:
  • Hari is a Malshi (Shitzu/Malteese) blend. He is now 3 years old. The picture in the layout was when he was 3 months old!
  • Why isn't there more projects on my Blog?? I held out and never started a Blog until this past April--basically I was too lazy to figure out how to do it, and you had to read directions--not my strong suit. Since I started it, most of the time, I have been working on projects that were too "secret" to show and I couldn't post them. But, stay tuned....I'm going to start posting here more and more!
Thanks again everyone for a great week last week!
