Cricut Simple Single Page Layout

I have a few projects that I'm going to post over the next few weeks that are--basically projects that never quite made it in my design life...
Here is the first one I made back in April. Alexandria turned 14 in April--just a few random snapshots from the day.
This layout (for me) is SUPER simple--but it works in the grand scheme of things....
The cuts for the banner are pretty small, so I had used the method I showed on Everyday Cricut last week leaving everything on the mat to assemble.
After the banner was assembled, I used a basic sparkle gel pen from the office supply store to outline the pieces. This was before I was addicted to Copic Spica's!!
To cut the circle around the dog cake (the cake is a very small cake--6"x3", our Super Walmart makes them) I used the Center Point feature on the Cricut to cut the photo. Just place your blade on the center focus of your photo, choose a size circle--in this case I used 3.5" and push cut. Do you see how awful my mat looks--sorry, over use I guess....
Cartridges Used:
Straight From the Nest--Banner 1.5", Scallop Circles on Banner .75"
Sweet Treats--Make a Wish 1.5"
Learning Curve--Happy Birthday .5
Songbird--Alex is 1" welded on the Gypsy (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Songbird Font!!)
George--Rounded Square Mats 8.25" & 8.75", Circle Photo 3.5" Circle Mat 3.75" & Circles behind Happy Birthday Letters .5"

A Little Late--but....Happy Birthday Alexandria!! I love YOU!!

  1. Love this pretty. Plenty of intricate detail, but the photos still take center-stage.
